After being stuck in a small box with two equally as smelly blokes for two days where the toilets seemed to be always locked about two minutes before I needed to go it was good to get out into the open.

We started our day with a swim in the ice cold lake and then, apart from a few minutes in the museum learning ''interesting'' facts about the lake, we spent the rest of the day going from meal to meal and bar to bar.

I'm in Irkutsk now and hoping for a livelier nightlife as tomorrow its onto the train for a few days straight.
