It's been a fun year of living and working abroad. There's plenty more travelling coming up but now I'm glad to be returning home for a while.

The year started in Brighton, England with the family. It will end with the family too, this time back home in Sydney.

This year I've started calling another place home. I've also had to think twice before writing down my 'address' when checking into hotels etc. I don't have a permanant address and haven't since March. As for home, Beijing now feels a lot like home. I've got a whole lot of my stuff there. There's an office there and most importantly there's always members of my Intrepid 'family' around the eat with, go out with and talk through life's little crisis. I started with Intrepid in March and after training in Prague I headed to St Petersburg to begin my training trip on the Trans-Asian. Having trained in Prague with the European leaders it took a while to meet and get to know all the China/Russia leaders. Now I've made some very good friends.

After the training trip I did 4 trips between St Petersburg and Beijing. I also had to travel down to Hong Kong to collect some visas. After that I had a short holiday for 1 week in Yangshou. There was always one or two Intrepid trips in town and plenty of activities and cool bars to keep my interest.

Later in the year I was given a few China trips which was awsome. It gave me a chance to see more of China and sample more of the food.

My last trip of the year was another OSM, my favourite trip. This time it was November so there was a fair bit of snow around the place which made for some fantastic photos. Now I'm sitting in my friend's apartment finishing off a little work and watching MTV and BBC World on the tv. I'm a couple of days I will touch down at Kingsford-Smith and spend a month back in Sydney before taking off for a bit of independant travel.

Thanks to everyone who's made this year abroad fun and interesting. Looking forward to catching up with everyone in Sydney and Melbourne soon.
