When I think of movies and Hollywood I usually think about a highly manicured, makeup covered world full of beautiful people. I guess for the most part that's exactly what it is. However, just the other day I caught a bit of a movie based in one of my favourite travel destinations.

Flying into Cancún late last night after a whole day waiting at Houston airport probably didn't put me in the most positive frame of mind. That and paying three times as much to get from the airport to my hostel as I had planned. On the upside the 40 or so minute shuttle ride did give me a look at the tourist enclave know as the Zona Hotelera (hotel zone). It is this that's given me my first impression.
